Sony is launching in the US market its VAIO Z Series ultra portable notebook, which is the world’s lightest 13-inch notebook to get standard voltage CPU.
The slim VAIO Z is powered by 2nd gen Sandy Bridge standard voltage Intel Core i5 and i7 processors with Intel Turbo Boost with clock speeds of up to 3.40 GHz, up to 8GB of RAM and dual-channel SSDs with RAID. The notebook has built-in support for Intel’s Wireless Display technology.
It supports Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity and optional mobile broadband. Blu-ray drive, Full HD 1080p display are available as options.
Sony VAIO Z Series starts at $1969. It comes in carbon black, carbon indigo and premium carbon black colors.
